A rare Japanese leather notebook cover that develops character with use
Made from rare domestic cowhide tanned by a tannery in Sumida, Tokyo, with 78 years of history. Very few tanneries in Tokyo still produce cowhide, making this a rare example of a craft tradition that has been passed down through generations.

The leather is primarily vegetable tanned. With use, its color and luster deepen, revealing the natural character of the leather—a distinctive quality of this natural, undyed leather. Its soft, pale tone and smooth, gentle texture feel comfortable in the hand. Over time, the leather develops a character of its own, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of authentic leather as it changes with use.
