How is MD PRODUCT different from MIDORI?
Originally part of the MIDORI™ brand as a notebook series, MD PAPER PRODUCTS is now an independent brand renamed to MD PRODUCT, focused on the concept of “Yohaku” (reflective margins in time, or breathing room).
MD PRODUCT offers products and experiences that encourage calm and self-reflection through writing, and is expanding beyond paper and notebooks to include lifestyle and interior items such as pen rests and scent clocks.
Is the paper quality the same as MIDORI MD PAPER?
The paper quality remains unchanged and the same MD PAPER is used. Our signature MD PAPER was first developed in the 1960s and has been continuously refined over the years to improve resistance to smearing and bleed-through, delivering an exceptional writing experience.
What does “Yohaku” or “Pausing moves you forward” mean?
Yohaku (余白) is a Japanese word meaning “margin” or “blank space.” It can also be understood as “breathing room” or pause for reflection, where we look inward and organize our thoughts.
Our brand slogan, “Pausing moves you forward,” expresses the idea that taking a pause is not about stopping, but about creating space for what truly matters. In a world of constant movement, we value moments of stillness that bring clarity and enrich everyday life.
By stepping away from the rush, new ideas can emerge and possibilities unfold. MD PRODUCT invites you to slow down, reflect, and simply be.

Orders and Shipping
How long does it take to ship out orders?

Can I cancel or modify my order?
If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please contact us at support@md-product-usa.com as soon as possible with your order number and full name. We cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be made, as your order may already be in processing or prepared for shipment.
Where is my order confirmation email?
If you did not receive an order confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder. If you cannot find the email, it may have been blocked or an incorrect email address may have been used at checkout. Please contact us at support@md-product-usa.com to request assistance with your order.
Will a receipt be included with the product?
We do not include an itemized receipt with shipments. You can view your order details in the order confirmation email sent from our store or in your account (“My Page”).
Do you ship overseas?
International shipping is currently available only to customers in Canada. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary based on destination and selected shipping method.
Returns and Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Unopened items may be returned within 30 days of purchase if shipped within the U.S. Items that are opened, used, damaged, or shipped outside the U.S. are not eligible for return. Returns and after-sales support are available only for purchases made through our official online store. Please view our full return policy here.
How do I request a return?
Please contact us at support@md-product-usa.com with “Return [order number]” and photos of the unopened item(s). Returns require prior authorization and must be received within 14 days of approval.
How can I request an exchange?
Exchanges are processed by returning your original item and placing a new order for the item you wish to receive. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. For further assistance, please contact us at support@md-product-usa.com.
