MD PAPER, a single sheet of paper created in the 1960s, marks the origin of MD PRODUCT. After years of working closely with this paper, we eventually realized the essential value inherent in the act of "writing".
That value lies in the precious time spent facing oneself: arranging one's thoughts and expressing an honest and genuine sensibility.
We call this moment "Yohaku".
Our desire is to expand the experience of creating this Yohaku, a margin in time, not just on the surface of paper, but into our spaces, our days, and our lives themselves.
The brand that began with a single sheet of paper is now evolving into a brand that cultivates Yohaku in the heart.

Pursuing only the pure value of making writing comfortable and enjoyable, we explored the exquisite balance to create “MD PAPER”.
The paper is designed so that ink appropriately permeates it, allowing the written characters and drawings to settle smoothly and naturally onto the page.
The paper's texture, the smooth glide of the pen nib, and the pleasant sound when writing are all integral to the experience. Even smudges and faint marks become part of its charm and character. Every element is crafted to enrich the writer's sensibility.
